WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The Senate Finance Committee said its members would vote on three Biden government candidates on Wednesday, including Katherine Tai as Trade Tsarina and California Attorney General Xavier Becerra as Secretary of Health.

Senate Finance Committee Chairman Ron Wyden will call the business meeting at 10 a.m. to vote on the nominations for Tai, Becerra and Wally Adeyemo, who have been appointed Assistant Secretary of the Treasury.

All three candidates are expected to gain committee approval, a congressional assistant said, paving the way for their scrutiny by the entire Senate.

The Senate will vote Monday on Biden’s election as Education Minister Miguel Cardona, who would be the 11th of 23 cabinet posts confirmed in his job. Seven other candidates are waiting for votes in the entire Senate.

In addition to Tai and Becerra, three other candidates for Biden’s cabinet will be evaluated by the relevant Senate committees.
